"Assalam-u-alaikum every one. How are you all? I am perfectly fine. My ISSB was from 5 to 9 dec and it was a life time experience for me i really enjoyed it. On the day of arrival forms filling was done .On the first day, from 8 to 10 in the morning was really teasing because of fear of screening out but thank God i passed from that safely only three girls were screened out, after that Psychological tests started which wasn,t that much tough because of ARIF sir's help. You know sir ARIF,as you adviced to write atleast one story on military ,i do that, i use your idea of writting story on great personalities when there is an open picture , That test was a bit tough not because of words but due to time but on the other hand it had a real fun , at the end of the day our backs and necks BECAME "TAKHTA".
oN THE 2ND DAY GROUP DISCUSSION held and was very good ,candidates who are afraid of it dont do that it is very easy, two topics are usually given in urdu and one in English .GROUP PLANING WASN,T THAT GOOD, we coperated with each other in the group but unfortunatel couldn't made a plan.Doesn't matter it happens. After that was progressive group tasks andHALF GROUP TASKS, which were again fun activity but the thing is that you should go with your group mates dont bother any one .On 3rd day individual obstacles started and among 47 girls i was the first victim , i did two obstacles completely and in high jump stick was falling again and again, and when i rushed for the 4th obstacle time ended.
Command task were good especialy for me it was a routine work because of experience of proctorship and head proctorship in college ,but keep in mind that dont stay outside when you are a commander coperate with your mates and stick to your point of view.
Now interview, in intro they ask Qns about Pkistan and Pakistan forces , physics ,maths ,chemistry ,islamiat, your boidata , so write each and every thing true about urself, they ask about it .SO This was my ISSB experience may all others can do well in ISSB , one thing i really want to say that give your best and leave the rest on Allah, if He has written something in your fate no one can snatch it from u. Best of luck to all of them who are applying or ISSB. "

"Well as the previously the two members have explained their experience. My experience was not quite change form them. All the tasks and obstacles were perfectly fine. but i dont know that what they were looking for which i dont have, in short i was not recommended by ISSB. I have given the ISSB recently a week ago. My psychological test was fine, group task was fine and command task was superb as i completed it within the time limit. I have completed 6 obstacles out of 9. My interview was perfect. He asked me abt my family background, BPs, Sex, Girl friend, why i want to join PAF, capital of Greece, capital of Thailand, GDP, GNP, NNP, my introduction in english and then he wished me and shaked hand with me and that all. but im not recommended. i think there must be a detailed result should be given to the candidate so that he/she can analyze him/her self. Only saying that you are not recommended is not a proper way. I need reason that why i was not recommended by ISSB so that i will improve my lacking next time."

" This website is rich with information I really appreciate it, if I could have visited this website I definitely could have succeeded in my ISSB test.
But this website didn't have one thing that is the experience of those people like me who have attempted for ISSB. I mean how the experience was, what did I learn or what mistake I made. Posting such type of real experiences will definitely help those who are planning to attempt for it. Thanks to this website that they have now started such segment on my request.
So I thought that I should be the first one to tell you guyz about my ISSB experiences. I used the word EXPERIENCES because it was not only once I attempted for this test 5 to 6 years back. Initial test were just a piece of cake then I was sent a call letter from ISSB recruitment Malir Cantt where my final test was to be conducted.
Well the first day was full of suspicion as every one was trying to be sober but as the few hours passed we started getting familiar with each other I also made couple of friends who were also my roommate. They spent most of their time in Hanky Phanky but I preferred to stick with books which I carried with and kept of RATTAFYING that who was the first chief justice ofPakistan and rest of the questions like this (it was my mistake as it didn’t help me). Some of the boys were so relaxed that it was like spending their summer vacations for them (in the end such boys got through).
Well cutting the story short I was so confused before the starting of my interview that I even entered the interviewer's room without the proper signal by him (it was like when the bulb outside the room goes on then I was suppose to enter the room). As I sat infront of the interviewer I was expecting the most difficult question but he asked non, he just kept reading my mind I mean checking me mentally. Another mistake I made was answering the question in English… Oh my God now I realize that was the worst mistake. If he was talking in Urdu then why the hell I was talking in English. He took hardly 5 minutes and shake hands with me. Well that was it no second interview nothing.
I also made another attempt but again the result was the same but the mistakes may be different.
So that was My ISSB Experience, I hope you may learn something out of it. "

Dear brothers and sisters, after Asslam O Alicum, I want to share my sorrowful story of my efforts to join Pakistan Armored Forces as a commissioned officer. The duration of these efforts consists of the period of ten years and more or less one dozen attempts. I belong to a Sindhi family of Interior Sindh, where the general concept of Punjabi Supremacy in the military is found. I did not believe this concept and as already, from my childhood I was very much interested to join Pakistan Armored Forces.
I completed FSc in 2001 and from that period to now 2011 finally I got complete failure after getting Not Recommendation letter third time for The Course of DSSCICTOs from ISSB Gujranwala. My ID was ICGE/44. I stayed there from 23/10/2011 to 27/10/2011.
First time I reported Army Selection and Recruitment Centre Karachi for PMA long course in 2001 but I was marked Under-weight in the initial medical. Second time I went for registration in PN cadet course but was suggested to improve weight further. Third time I successfully cleared all initial steps and reported ISSB Malir for PN cadet course but I was sent back as I did not have original FSc mark-sheet with me.
Then I applied for PMA Long course 111 but was failed in initial written examination.
I again applied for PMA Long course 113 but this time I was failed in initial interview in AS&RC Karachi. I again registered myself for PN cadet course term 2003B and after successfully clearing all initial steps/tests I appeared in ISSB Malir with all my documents. This time as usual fortune was not with me and I was declared Not Recommended. My ID was NSKS/36.
After making so many efforts to join Pakistan Armored Forces, I was once again courageous and hopeful with some improvements in my personality as those which I realized reasons for my failure, I got registered for PN Cadet course term 2004A and after successfully clearing all initial tests I reported ISSB Malir third time but second attempt. This time I tried to perform well in the ISSB but was Not Recommended. My id was NSLD/27. I was disappointed but not discouraged so I thought that after completing my B.E degree I will once again try to join military. I did so. I tried to apply for ICTOs (Signals Core) in 2009 but that time due to some unavoidable reasons I did not get registered in the AS&RC. Finally in 2011 when I came to know that registration in PAKISTAN ARMY for Direct Short Service Commission in Signals Core as ICTOs (Information & Communication Technology Officers) is going on, I registered my self and after clearing all initial selection tests, I reported ISSB Gujranwala but perhaps there was no reality in my dream to join academy, I was Not Recommended third time and this way I was defeated by my relatives/friends by their comments that only Punjabis, Pukhtoons and sons/daughters of Military officers can join academy. I have no comments in reply of thoughts of my relatives/friends as I have not proved that a young man like me can join Pakistan Armored Forces.
When I make overview at my efforts to be successful at ISSB, I find that I had made all possible things to improve my personality, physical staimna, discipline in routine life, control of feelings, calculation power etc..,
But all the things made were based upon my own observations, and experience. No instructor or traineer I refered. Only ISSB books, discussions with selected and rejected candidates, and my own experience at ISSB was guideline for my preparation.

Chalo ksi ne to sahi baat ki abt whose superior in armed forces.... U r absolutely right dear i myself belongs to sindhi family living in Khi.. A couple of yrs ago my dream was Pak Airforce as Gd Pilot but soon as i got matured i realised that thing what u mentioned so my ultimate aim changed to 2nd choice that is CSS... Meanwhile my eyesight also decreased a bit... An armed personal of navy told me that being from sindhi/muhajir background they will surely reject u in complete medical examination , koi na koi reasn nikal len ge :/... Bt phir b , this yr after clearing fsc i'll try for ISSB but i'll not be serious just want to exp it so that if i got rejected than no worries CSS is always there but just incase i'm selected by chance.... I'll toss or most likely to disqualify myself becoz i'am not further interested in forces after observing merit in CSS examination ....
Sorry that wa my personal opinion any1 can disagree.... NO harsh feelings

Dude, this Punjabi story is not true. I am a Punjabi and have also been NOt Recommended from ISSB 3 times. First, it was PMA 114 (2004), then it was PMA 115. Both the times, I cleared initial interviews tests etc and qualified for ISSB but didn't cleared it. Then in 2009, I applied for PAF after completing my B.E Telecommunication. But this time again, I was NOT RECOMENDED by the committee. Whatever reasons might be, but this Punjabi Sindhi issue is not the issue. Otherwise my name would have been Captain Zeeshan now. :d. We are Pakistanis just, It hurts, It hurted me too a lot. But with the time, it gets settled. May allah bless you all the way and give a more good career what you could actually have in army.

my two bro's are army officers..one is posted on Siachen these days n other is in Quetta....though we are punjabi..my bro who is posted in Quetta is always depressed...it was my father who forced him into it....i don't know why those guys who try to get rejected are selected...he left no stone unturned to get rejected but was selected....he has many baloch batch mates n sindhis as well....so its not that Army dont pick baloch n sindhis...punjab has vast population that's why punjabis are so much in forces....i feel sorry for you that you were not selected but army is just hell of a profession...better to stay happy than stay depress in army...good luck for your future..find some thing else of your aptitude and forget this experience........coz life doesn't end with these rejections...it just goes on...
